AutoCAD autosave is faulty

Hi

When working on a dwg file, autosaves arent happening at all. All boxes are ticked on the 'open and save' options window. (log file, automatic save, backup with each save - everything), and nothing is happening at all.

I've even set the SAVETIME to 1, and it does an initial save, and then nothing.

Also, when I restart, it appears to wipe the temp file of all ac$ and sv$ files.

I just crashed, and there was nothing to salvage.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Start here (long list) https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-ensure-auto...

Other things to try to recover from a crash:

BTW, SV$ "autosave" files are never EVER preserved if you successfully save and close the file you are using as a general rule.
