2018 icons thick and blurry

Hi,

Just downloaded 2018 and the buttons are thick and blurry, the drawing is fine and I've checked Resize ribbon icons to standard sizes but they are still out of focus. I migrated out of 2017 (which migrated out of 2015), and previous versions are lovely and crsip.

There's bound to be a simple solution buried in options somewhere?

Thanks to anyone watching.

Very disappointing. Looks like %&##!

I am baffled why they have got this so wrong! ACAD 2017 works perfect, 2018 is a blurry mess of a program.

Why hasn't anyone at Autodesk picked up on this and solved it??

They have shares in 4K monitors? This must be such an easy fix, it's
not like reinventing the wheel. Please Autodesk, and 'experts',
address this in a civilised manner. We are not all going to change
our very pricey and perfectly good monitors to be able to use this
software. I have several stations with double and triple banks of
monitors, it would be cheaper to retrain to a different CAD
programme.

If you can't do this to fix it https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/2018-icons-thick-and-blurry/m-p/7355786#M157605 it's likely to be LT2019 or LT2022 or LT2030 before it changes again.

Doubt it.

Mitmorris, this is also a problem on 4K monitors, I have one and the icons are blurry!

I thought it only happened on 4k monitors, what resolution are you running at?

2018.1.1 update was just released, it may or may not help but worth a shot https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-lt-forum/autocad-lt-2018-1-1-update-is-now-available/td-p/735...

Well Im running a 4k Iiyama monitor at 3840x2160 and the icons are too blurry to use. Hurts my eyes after about 5 mins of use. 2018 is useless!

The 'dark' scheme is darker in older versions than 2018: with the slight increase is sizing I can see how it can be seen as blurry.

Ribbons are fine. It's the icons on toolbars.

This issue still exists, is anyone at Autodesk aware that this is a problem??

Look at the attached screenshot, the inner window is v2016, perfect quality 4k icons. the outer window is 2018, with garbage blurry (slightly oversized) icons. After a while my eyes actually hurt whilst using the 2018 interface so I have to revert to 2016/17 again.

Blurry icons in AutoCAD/LT2018 are a deliberate design change by Autodesk: there is nothing to fix, Autodesk seems to think they are fine.

If it ain't broke......Very sad and disappointed. Thank God for
2017, let's hope it takes me to my retirement.

It's their "too much in a hurry" solution to 4k displays in 2018: it blows for sure.

Deliberate design change?? For real?

Someone's head needs to be on the block for this one!

Problem is I've recently switched from maintenance plan to the subscription so I presume at some point I will lose access to 16/17 and be stuck with 18.

Really hope they take their head out the sand on this one and get it sorted, if not for 2018 then for 2019!!
