Snap to grid

Hi. New to this. I want to draw lines but the problem is that if I click on the Snap mode, the cursor snaps to grid. I don't want it to snap to grid. I want it to snap to the end of the line that will be OFF GRID.

TIA.

Desmond.

F9 is snap to grid. What you want is OSNAP. Type that in at the command line and then you can choose which snaps you want.

Hey Desmond,

Are you still looking for assistance with snapping?

As hwalker pointed out, SNAP and OSNAP (short for "object snap") are different. SNAP (F9 to toggle on/off) is associated to grid points, and OSNAP (F3) is associated to points on an object, such as endpoint, midpoint, extension, etc. Down here at the bottom, you can choose your osnap settings.
