2017 SP1 download for AutoCAD Lt

I cannot install SP1.  It says product could not be installed because the expected Autodesk product could not be located on your computer.  When I click on the detalis of the exe it shows the file location in my downloads folder not my program folder.  How do I fix this so I can install the service pak.

Which update did you download?

Are you running other applications of Autodesk or a suite?

I have Windows 10 Home 64 Bit
AutoCADLT2017
I downloaded 2017SP1. The supported program list does list AutoCAD LT.
The problem is when I go to install, it is looking for the program in my
downloads file not the programs file folder.

You downloaded 2017SP1: that's for AutoCAD 2017.

LT 2017 download is here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-lt/downloads

You got distracted by a typo: always use the correct source for the correct software and you can avoid these human errors.

I can install, the source is not the issue. The issue is where it is
looking for the program. I cannot change that. It does not allow you to.

Windows tells it where to look. Nothing else.

2017sp1 is the wrong download. You need the LT2017sp1 download: this comes up often.
And it works just fine if LT2017 was run and closed prior to the install of SP1.

Try again, start with the correct file and source.

I was just following the original instructions that pointed me to the other DL that says it is for my version.
