when i switch the measurements layer off the lines go, its the dimensions tab

Hi,

usually we notice this problem when hardware acceleration is ON and / or Smooth Line display is selected . BUT in your case it's related with a specific layer . try from GRAPHICSCONFIG command and see if it's fixed . if NOT please attache here your CAD drawing as AutoCAD 2013 format type for testing ?
