XREFs not displayed correctly after opening it in AutoCAD 2027

This AutoCAD 2027 bug is very anoying, and the solutions does not work for us.

Just wondering if there are any other solutions and when Autodesk will address this bug.

• check VISRETAIN (System Variable) value. >> Click <<
• Change the system variable XREFOVERRIDE from 1 to 0.

Thank you yes, it is 0, the only workaround that works is to delete the xref, purge the drawing, re-create the xref. But we would very much like this to be fixed by Autodesk.

What version of AutoCAD are you running (I understand 2027) Do you have all current updates installed?  When you type ABOUT at the command line, what does the dialog show?

Not saying that there is a fix, but want to make sure you at least have the current updates installed, just in case.

I have AutoCAD 2027.1. No other versions installed, though my collegue says that AutoCAD 2026 does not have the issue.

You guess is as good as anyone's, the posted workaround is it for now, if you find it too challenging (as in you have to do this constantly all day long) then you can roll back to the 2026 versions like your colleague
