I've had some crashing problems related to a partner's Fabrication items, which are not the subject of this post.  When it hangs, Task Manager shows multiple instances of the program noted in this post's title.  I attached a screenshot.  Why is this happening and what can I do to stop it?

Thanks in advance.

One for each variant you are running concurrently perhaps: are you actually having issues with performance, or is this just an observation?

I am having performance issues with certain drawings that come from an outside party and contain Fabrication items.  When trying to save it hangs for a long time or just doesn't respond at all.  If I replace all the Fabrication items with our own the problem goes away.  If I disable hardware acceleration the problem doesn't occur either.  It is when it hangs and I go into task mgr. that I see the Chromium instances.  Not sure what "variant" means in your response though.

That's a file(s) content issue: you'll need to ask the file creator to "export to autoCAD" aka dumb-down the files for you to be able to use them.

I am assuming you are not running the same variant of AutoCAD as they are, correct?

They're using the same Fabrication database but different variant.  I've been able to work around the hanging issues but was really interested in the Chromium thing.  The reply after yours includes a link that is helping me understand it better.  Thanks for your help too!

That was the kind of info I like - I'm always in favor of less internet involvement in CAD work!  Thank you.
