Why can't I join two polylines only using PE > Multiple?

I'm having trouble joining polylines, the Join command simply doesn't work and returns:

"0 objects joined 1 object discarded from the operation"

But when I use PEDIT > Multiple > Join it works... It takes a long time to do it using the PEDIT method and I would like it to work just by Join. They are two 2D polylines, why doesn't it work?

Thx.

Check the Z on the polyline with the arcs/curves. It's showing a Z = -0.00000005.

@guilherme.lepinski.sc ,

Type LUPREC at the command line and set to 8, then ID the Endpoint of the right polyline.

Resolve by grabbing the GRIP and snapping to the Endpoint of the left polyline - then JOIN.

Hi,

I don't understand and can't reproduce it.

>>"Why can I join two polylines only using PE > Multiple?"

PE or PEDIT, followed by "multiple" does nothing
 (except convert objects to plines, if objects are nocht plines before),
because you didn't start an option do something.

>>"I'm having trouble joining polylines, the Join command simply doesn't work and returns:

"0 objects joined 1 object discarded from the operation"

Because JOIN command joins objects if they are in one and the same plane only.

Your plines are on different planes.

(check out object data while luprec is set to 8, use command ID and/or LIST)

>>"But when I use PEDIT > Multiple > Join it works..."

Because PEDIT changes objectdata!!, so it is possible to join both objects.

Again: PEDIT change your object data, it changes the vertics position!

>>"It takes a long time to do it using the PEDIT method"

No, you just need a simple custom-button to start PEDIT and the Join option, so it will be one click, nothing more.

>>"and I would like it to work just by Join."

No problem, make sure your objects are in the same plane, then use Join.

Thanks! in fact there was an elevation in this polyline, i don't know why..

But if I want to avoid this in the future, is there a way to change all polyline elevations to 0 (without FLATTEN, it ruins my drawing and takes decades to execute)?

I found a way, thank you very much for your help @VincentSheehan @Valentin-WSP !

@guilherme.lepinski.sc ,

Use QSELECT, and adjust the Elevation in Properties. (Make sure to go out about 8 decimal places or more)
