Where did the "Drafting & Annotation" panel go?

Where did the "Drafting & Annotation" panel go?

I was trying to customize some tabs in the " Customize User Interface" and I accidently removed the "Home 2D-Draw" panel from the entire "CUI".  Can this be done?  How do I get it back so I can draw?

I am running AutoCad 2016

Thanks

Chris

Hello @Anonymous,

Make sure you have your Workspace set to "Drafting & Annotation", it displays the 2D toolbar menu.

Hi,

you can search for that file:

C:\Users\<UserLogin>\appdata\roaming\autodesk\autocad 2016\r20.1\enu\support\acad.bak.cuix

If such a file exists then first copy the file "acad.cuix" to a safe place, then rename "acad.bak.cuix" to "acad.cuix" (please do all these steps while AutoCAD is not running), then restart AutoCAD and see if your workspace exists now.

If it does not exist you can reset the acad.cuix to default as shown in that screenshot (right-click the "ACAD" item):

Natasha,  I did that, but thanks.  like I said, I think I removed it from the "Customize User interface" .  I just opened all the folders in the "CUI" and did not see another "Home 2D-Draw" file.  How do I git it back where it belongs so I can draw again?

Are you new to that variant of AutoCAD by chance?

You need to run AutoCADARCHITECTURE "as AutoCAD" to get the AutoCAD menu and workspaces

That does not exist, never has, as a panel in the Ribbon: do you mean "workspace"? Something else?

Share with us a screenshot of the ABOUT command pop-up inside your program please.
