I am using AutoCAD 2025 version 1.2. When using dimensions in AutoCAD, the length is only visible when hovering over the line. How can I fix this?

(The line is visible, but the text indicating the length on the line is not showing. It only appears when hovering over it, just like in the images I’ve attached.)

Does this happen on previous AutoCAD versions you’ve used? What happens when you open dwgs that already have dimensions on them? Do you see the dimension numbers then?

Quick test @elifnurturan16

Start GRAPHICSCONFIG command then turn off hardware acceleration to see if that helps.

If it does, go back and turn that on and change these instead until you find a setting that works

I was previously using AutoCAD 2025 1.1, and I had the same issue. When I open the files I saved, the dimensions still don’t appear.

Hi @elifnurturan16

You may also try to update to AutoCAD 2026 and make sure turn on [Accelerated font display] in the Graphic Performance dialog. And check if it will solve this problem.

This feature requires graphic card with DirectX 12 capacity.
