Weird Artifact When Clipping Xref (screenshot)

Hi, I need to be able to clip individual apartments out of larger floor plates, but when I clip a complex apartment shape with a polygon clipping mask I sometimes get a strange artifact that blacks out portions of the clipped area (see screen shot). Not sure what to do, seems to be a glitch. Anyone else have this problem? Or a solution?

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I see that you are using AutoCAD 2014 when clipping the Xref. Is your application fully up to date?

Have you tried toggling Hardware Acceleration in GRAPHICSCONFIG to see if this is just a display issue?

Does this happen if the model is not an XREF?

I would like to see a couple sample files if you can attach them to a post.

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Hi @Anonymous,

Are you still seeing this problem when clipping your xrefs?  if so, please add some detail so I can try to help.
