Viewbase command

Hello there,

I am Ashutosh and using autocad-2012.I am unable to open viewbase command in model space.I tried tips from forum about drawing a box in the model space and then trying. But this didn't help.Every time I try to use the command viewbase,it only goes on to show "inventor server failed to load".Can anyone solve my problem?

Thanks,

Ashutosh

2012 was the first year for VIEWBASE, and it does not work from Modelspace.  Select a Layout tab (preferably one without any existing viewports) and launch VIEWBASE from there.

Hello Sir,
Thanks for your time. But it doesn't work that way either.I also tried drawing a box inside the layout space and use viewbase command. It didn't work.It keeps saying "Inventor server failed to load."

Make sure you have all updates and Service Packs for AutoCAD2012 installed

ViewBASE - Inventor server failed to load

also make sure MODELDOC.cuix is loaded  (CUILOAD command)

Do you have the Drawing Views panel on the Annotate tab?

I tried the tips as given above. My annotate panel does show the base view command but doesn't work.It comes back with the same notion,"Inventor server failed to load".
Thanks for your time.
