Using of the drawing view components (SUBOBJSELECTIONMODE = 5)

I noticed that the selection filter has one interesting value - the components of the drawing views. This corresponds to the system variable SUBOBJSELECTIONMODE = 5. When this mode is enabled, oddly enough, it is really possible to select individual solid on the Model Documentation views! However, the properties of the solid are not displayed, the context menu is also not exist.

The question is: what is the point of select the individual components of the view, how can this be used in practice?

Hi @AVCPlugins,

I tried this in AutoCAD and Viewbase and I found absolutely no functionality. However I tried creating views from an Inventor model and it does let me select each part individually which might be sort of handy.

Would this play into your workflow at all?

I asked a question out of pure curiosity. Autocad developers spent resources on creating this filter. But there is no result. I can not even quickly remove the selected part from the view. If someone has learned to benefit from this feature, let him write here.
