Using Find/Replace on Hyperlink path

I'm trying to use the find/replace tool to change the path globally on a bunch of hyperlinks.  For some reason no items are found.  All the hyperlink check boxes have been checked in the search options.

Hi,

save your drawing as DXF, open that file in a strong ascii-file-editor (like Notepad++), run a search/replace in the DXF and reload it then in AutoCAD.

Hi @EricNyh,

I believe that the text it searches for in the Hyperlink is the one entered on the Text to Display field when the Hyperlink was created. If there is not text then it will not return any found items.

@Alfred.NESWADBA's solution works well but does require an export to DXF.

Hi,

>> i have to do that in several hundreds of DWG

You can run search & replace for a complete folder when using Notepad++ 😉

(sorry for German screenshot, but should work for Switzerland 😉 )

thanks, and of corse i can do that, but first of all i have to convert several hundreds of DWG's in different folders to DXF, and after Replace, back converting to DWG again, and it comes as i expect... shore that this way will loss some data, that's so frustrating 😞

Hi,

I know it's some work. But at least it works.

You might also try - with a bit of lisp knowledge - to work through many drawings using >>>ScriptPro<<< and your lisp tool.
