Trim surfaces works in copied objects only

I want to find the intersection of the oval yellow surface with the white planar one.

I used Trim surfaces command (on the Surface tab) but i don't see a change.

I copied the 2 surfaces to an empty drawing and there the cut was.

I repeated that and the same: in the original drawing, cleaned and attached here, they exist both complete (the drawing's name is Space Ship), and the Test drawing is with the copied surfaces.

Why don't i see the change in the original drawing?

Hi @Karol-Or,

I set the UCS to World and then performed slice using the white surface. It appears to work fine for me unless I misunderstood your question.

Hi @Karol-Or,

Did you have any luck with SLICE?  I tried the surftrim on new geometry in your file and that did not work either.  Audit does not see any errors but there is obviously something wrong with the dwg.
