Hi,

open the layer manager (command _LAYER), select the layer on which the dimension object was created and define the transparency value there.

May I ask why objects (without fillings, just lines) need a transparency? If you want to have them lighter the solution would be to give them a lighter layer color.

I was also looking for something like this.  The lightest line weight is still too dark in my opinion as I use that same line weight for other items as well.  I'd love the dimension lines to appear "ghosted" as if they were a faded drafting line.  Setting the layer transparency that they are on though just makes the entire dimension transparent instead of just the extension line.  I could always just draw the extension lines manually and have their transparency set lighter, but that's just a lot of unneeded drafting coordination.  It's a great "wishlist" item...

Inorder to achieve what you need, you can reduce the Screening value of the respective color inside the CTB. See below example

That is a great idea!  I'll have to give it a shot.  I've forgotten about screening ever since transparency came around...
