Title Block Attributes disappear after block update

Hello,

I have been having trouble with our title block for some time now. Not sure what has happened as it used to work flawlessly. I have a feeling someone got in it and did something to the block causing the attributes to fail. Every time I open the template up and have to add a revision and fix it's location (otherwise the text ends up in the description field. So when I add the locked dimension to correct it's location and the revision information is added, it knocks out 3 lines of information (CUSTOMER:, CITY/STATE:, and DESCRIPTION:). Don't have a clue as to why it's happening, I'm not an attributes guru, I'm just a drafter. I inherited this mess so I'm trying to fix it.

I have attached the file and would appreciate any help and insight to this issue.

Thank you

Did you ATTSYNC or BATTMAN your block(s) ? I can't open your dwg for now but do you know this base ? It allows to make changes in the attributes effective for all.

May I ask, why is this file (and all your other titleblcoks and template) not in a locked folder that only one or key personnel have access to edit and change? Your IT person/friend/department should be handling all oj that for you, locked files and folders are important in an office.

It appears your annotative attributes in your DYNBLOCK are not showing up because someone copy/pasted it into the layout from modelspace with an annotative scale other than 1:1. That's all. the program tells you this after trying to bedit the block, or at least it does here: is your commandline only one-line tall (or turned off)?

Easy quick fix, copy it back to modelspace, set the CANNOSCALE to 1:1, REGENALL, then copy/paste it back to your layout.

See attached.

Nothing is locked down because we are a very small company, and we don't have an IT department. The revolving door of personnel is the main reason everything is as it is.

I appreciate the help with the title block. I am incorporating that into our template.

File locking and folder locking are tools at the disposal of every WindowsOS user with admin rights too: explore the topic in a websearch for your type of setup when you get a chance.

Ya, we don't have any of that either. It's all locked down like Alcatraz!

Then I suggest you hide a master copy from everyone, bring it out when all goes to **** next time.

Best wishes.
