The untouchable PLine

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello All,

I have made a pline through some schedules to remind myself to make some changes. Today when I opened the drawings to delete them as I made the changes, I can't select any of them. They don't print on paper but they are still visable. I've purged, audited, flattened (even though it's all 2D) and purged but nothing has happened.

Any suggestions on how to be able to select it again?

Thanks.

It doesn't give me the option to select it. Not on a locked layer or defpoints.

Make a backup of the file. Then in the copy try this...

1. select "CTRL"+"A" to select all.
2. delete all of the entities
3. very important step, select "OOPS", do not leave this step out.

Can you select other items in the DWG and make multiple selections?

Have you considered selecting all objects and pasting in new DWG?

Perhaps the PLine was accidentally drawn in the other space?  ie if you're currently in Modelspace, switch to Paperspace and try selecting it... or vice-versa.

That was the first thing that came to my mind, but that can't be the issue, because they already said it's not on the Defpoints Layer.  Things on that Layer will be visible but not selectable or snap-to-able if Layer 0 is off or frozen, but it doesn't go both ways -- things on Layer 0 [or any other] are not so affected if the Defpoints Layer is off or frozen.

Sorry no can do with access to the DWG.

The pline is on layer 0. and it is turned on and unlocked.

There seems to be no solution to this so I will just work with it there.

Hello

If your DWG is "secret" !

Why you can't do a WBLOCK of ONLY the magic Pline, check that the new DWG has ALWAYS the problem !

and share this New DWG with us ?

With very high level programming (especially in ARX) and the Reactors, everything is possible !
