Hay, My Name is Adi.

This is my first time to use it.

I decided to search tutorial on the internet, and i got one.

when i do excercise...

make a Rectangular

i set the size and press enter.

The object that i make is not visible.

I must move over the cursor to be able to see it.

and click it.

Compare to the tutorial...

My workspace is different, i didn't see the grid... and the X Y point is turn grey.

I Attach the image.

Please, If anyone can help me... i really want to learn this, but get stuck on the first place.

And.. i am sorry for my bad English.

Thank You before 🙂

Welcome to the Autodesk Forums.

I believe you may be zoomed in too close to see your object (and the Grid)

Roll the mouse wheel backward until the grid becomes visible.

or

Doubleclick the wheel button (middle button)

or

Zoom <enter> 1 <enter>

Thank You for the Reply, Sir... 🙂
I tried your solution..
but...
It still not working..

When i try to draw a line.
i just see 2 dot.
if want to see the line.. i must move over my cursor.

And.. the same when I try to open the Tempelate...
I just see the dot only...

I attach the new Image from my screen

The X and Y also become dot... you can see the picture.

Hi,

By any chance did you change the default color for the elements in here ?

If yes, try to restore that. (Click the +' sign to show the image)

Hi Adi,

Its good that you solved it.

But your drawing seems to be a 2d drawing, so you should use 2D wireframe visual style for the display.

When you switch the display it actually use a different context settings from here (see the image)
Select 2D model space and Click 'Restore current Context' to see if this helps.

Yes, Sir Ajilal.Vijayan...

"maybe" i found the solution..

but... i think you are right... my solution is not a solution...

Yes, will working on 2D Drawing in the future.

But... As i mention before.. when i choose "2D Wireframe" X & Y, The Grid and the Object I draw become "a dot" only dot no line.

I try to reset Autocad to their default.. it's not working

I try to Uninstall and Install again... it's not working

I try to do as you said, Option -> Display Tab-> Colors-> 2D Model Space-> Restore Current Context

and... it's not working too...

Oh my God...

I don't know what happen... 😞

Maybe....

Something wrong with the software...

Something wrong with my computer...

Hem... I will try to install Prev Version of Autocad... Maybe Autocad 2013

Hi

I don't know if my answer can help you after all this time

but a few days ago i faced the same problem with AutoCAD 2016

and i found this solution :

1- open AutoCAD

2- Option > System > Graphics performance > Toggle the hardware acceleration on and off to see what gives you the best performance
