Table Cell Border Double Line

Good morning all,

Today, I am trying to determine why, whenever I try to change a cell border in an AutoCAD 2015/16/17 table to a double line, it will display in the preview window, but does not become active in the actual table.  I have a tablestyle created called Standard, with a lineweight of ByLayer.  The layer lineweight is default.  It does not matter what cell, or cells, in the table are selected, the results are the same.  This is true for all four borders of the cell, none will be double lined.  The cells are not locked.

Thank you for your suggestion.  I had located and utilized these steps previously without achieving the desired results, and thus, the reason for my post.  Here are some screen captures of the current settings.  I believe there is something that is overriding them, as they will not stay set.  For example, I will change the lineweight from 'ByBlock' to 'ByLayer', save and close the dialog box.  However, when I view the table, the settings have not changed. This is the same behavior for the double line setting.  Note in the screen captures below that I have tried to modify the individual cell as well, not just in the tablestyle.  If I could determine what is causing the changes to be rejected that might solve the issue.

Thank you for your assistance.  I am not certain how this will help solve the riddle, but here is a pic of the DWG file.  Did you want the actual file itself?  If so, I can share that.

My guess is that your table's cell/row is not set to Title (but that's what you're editing in the screenshots you've shown us).

Thank you for your assistance Don.  I have attached a screen capture of my cell properties.  I don't think that is the issue?  Something seems to be keeping me from changing the settings to a persistent state.  I change them in the dialog box, but then they revert back once I close the box.  I have to believe therein lies the rub.

That sounds like your table is linked to an Excel sheet and it's taking its formatting from the Excel Sheet.

I opened your table style, selected Double Line (for the Title area) and set the spacing to 1".

Looks like it is working fine now.

Great catch John!

The row height is 2'10 1/4" while the gap between the two lines is only 3/64" so given that ratio, the double line would not be visible.  It goes to show that sometimes it's the simplest things.
