Survey Figures Relocate when attaching to another drawing.

I have a cad file of a survey that when I attach it to another drawing all the survey figures move to a different location in the host drawing. There are a number of polylines in the survey that stay in the same place (property lines). I have tried converting it to a block and inserting it that way. I have tried converting all the survey figures to 3d polylines and then polylines but end up with the same thing.

The UCS is the same on both.

Aaron,
You'll probably get more traction on your post in the >>>Civil 3D Forum<<<. Sounds like a Units problem, but where, only by posting your drawings can we figure it out.

Survey figures are typically geospatially oriented. Plain vanilla AutoCad doesn't differentiate from one coordinate system to another, if it did, it would transform from one coordinate system to another, even when the two coordinate systems are using different drawing units.

Plain Vanilla AutoCad doesn't have the capability to understand and transform coordinates.

A drawing without an 'assigned' coordinate system or an improper use of an assigned coordinate system are the two most common reasons why an external reference will not align correctly. You need to use Civil 3D or Map 3D.
