SUPERHATCH-BLANK SPACES

Can anyone tell why I keep getting blank areas when trying to Superhatch with my block here?

SUPERHATCH works with orthogonally-oriented rectangular areas [watch the process as you use the command].  When you specify such an area around that Block, it necessarily includes the empty corners.  Define your Block this way:

and you can do it:

Or, Rotate the outline -45°, define the Block with horizontal bands, SUPERHATCH, and Rotate the result with the outline back 45°.
