Hi

On AutoCAD 2024 on the model tab the Shaded mode is fast now (like Naviworks). But now the 2D Wireframe its slow by hug drawings, please increase the same speed improvements like 3D Shaded.

Fast Shaded mode

Slow 2D Wireframe

Here is a user forum (not monitored by Autodesk) and the wrong place for such complaint.

A better appropriate adress is >>here<<

@michael_broennimann After you do as @j.palmeL29YX suggested, here are things to try to help your overwhelmed PC/laptop cope better-

1) Have you installed the 2024.1 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

2) If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD2024.

3) If still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices and uncheck 3D settings boxes on that pop-up.

4) Explore these Autodesk tips

If you use the Wireframe style instead of 2D wireframe that is supported for fast mode on modern graphics (excepting a lot of intel onboard and arc A series)

this will get you the performance you desire.
