Specify move point not working when in Osnap mode

Hello!

when I try to move an object by a specified amount, when Osnap is on, object will not move at all...

example: I paste a box to an object using Osnap to get location and I want to displace by 5 it will not move until I hit F3 key  to turn off Osnap. this has only just started happening in last 2 days.

Thanks,

Matt F

Hi Matt,
What happened 2 days ago? A Windows update maybe? What version of AutoCAD are you using?

I'm using Acad LT 2022. There was a Win update a week ago.

If I move object without selecting a node it moves properly, but I often use node as a displacement point. the node seems to magnet objects together and only way to move them apart is by clicking elsewhere and typing M. it means I have to measure the displacement or move to parallel/perpendicular geometry first.

Hi @Anonymous

I default value of the system variable "OSNAPCOORD" is changed to "0" I guess. Type in the command "OSNAPCOORD" and set it to its default value "2" and it would work as you expected 🙂
