Seeking to fade a block

Hi.

I am wanted to create a block, copy the block then fade the copy while leaving the original unfaded.

i.e. decrease the transparency of the block copy.

I would like to do this to avoid using an Xref for this information.

I am using AutoCAD 2014.

All suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Hi @BigBoyCAD

You can do that by altering the transparency of the block from the properties palette, but for that first, you need to make all the elements transparency inside the block to "byblock". See attached drawing.
