Some lines in a layer aren't inheriting the linetype of the layer.

I have a series of polylines in a layer that is set to dashed, however not all the lines in the layer are dashed, even though they are are all set to ByLayer in the linetype,

The only thing that worked is joining the surrounding lines together, but that still isn't perfect. Is there another way to solve this?

I see in the Properties palette heading that they are not all the same kind of object.  If any are 3DPolylines, those have never "honored" non-continuous linetypes.  You can assign one, but they always display as continuous.
