Sólidos en color blanco

Estimados foreros,

Buena suerte.

If i understand your need ... you can do the follow:

- Let the white solid hatch take a color 7 with a special layer name with un plotted specs (from layer manger).

- In case you want to plot the 3D the white paper will give you the effect you need ( without the un plotted hatch).

Good Luck.

Hi @Anonymous,

I think @imadHabash's solution might achieve what you are looking for. Color 7 is assigned to white and if you have objects that are assigned this color placed on a unique non-plot layer, then in effect they will just knock out other colors revealing the white paper they are being printed on.

I have tried the following actions:

  1. Change the color of a solid´s face with "colored faces" to white (7).
  2. Solid hatch a face of the solid with white (7).
  3. Overlap a face with other identical face but in a different layer. Then assign color white (7).

(I also have tried with “Wipeout” order but it does not work for a 3D solid respecting its edges in black).

In all cases, the following happens:

The changed face appears black on the screen while on the printer preview appears in white. The problem is when you print it because the face is printed in black. In all cases the color I see on screen is the same that exit from the printer. And this is logical.

I also tried with different colors of floor and background sky, and this does not change the result.

I'm desperate with this. Any suggestions to get white solids?

I use AutoCAD 2016.

Thank you

Hi @Anonymous,

Can you attach a sample of your model so I can experiment with options to make this work for you?

Hi @Anonymous,

In looking at your model, I turned on Shadows, and the Sun. then I turned on the Environment and then rendered. The whites look white but there is an inherent soft grayness as shadows and light hit the objects.

Capture.PNG

I did assign a "solid" (black) environment background and adjusted the brightness to get the white's to be much brighter. I hope this helps.

Thank you very much John,
I see you have represented the drawings using Render. I tried to represent objects without Render and with the most real colors as possible. (I didn´t want to complicate the representation with shadows. Does it not possible?
I understand that the representation with Render is more realistic but only if you assign accurately the materials, the orientation of the sun, the background, etc.
Have you rendered those drawings without applying materials?
Thank you very much for your help.

Hi @Anonymous,

I did the render with doing nothing about materials. I just applied the environment and lighting.
