Dimension Text Not Stacking?

For AutoCAD 2016 LT:

When drawing dimensions, I frequently resize the text box so text and distances will stack (not to be confused with "Stack" that is used for fractional values), making my drawing neater. All of a sudden today, resizing the text box 1) does not stack them at all, but keeps my text on a single line, and 2) extends that line in both directions, as if I had text, or at least hit the space bar many times.

I hadn't been playing with settings, this has never happened before. What can I check? How do I fix this?

Dimension settings, make text FIT between Extension Lines, try that.

I'm not familiar with this dimension text "stacking" that you talk about: can you post some images and describe in more detail using AutoCAD terms and commands what you are actually doing?

OR do you just need to grab the width bar and stretch it to "WORD WRAP"?

Hi @Anonymous,

I like to control where the annotation "stacks" by entering an Enter. For instance, in this example, I hit the Enter Key after the number so that Hello would appear on its own line. Is this what you needed?
