Snap box disappears with copy move commands. Objects end up in random places.

I'm using AutoCAD 22. I'm having an issue in some of my working files. It has to be drawing specific and not a system issue as I don't have this problem in every .dwg file I'm working in.

My issue:

I copy or move an object with osnap on. I copy or move with a base point and need that object to go to another specific point. The destination snap box shows up, but just as the cursor gets to that point the snap box disappears. If I click to insert my object it will be placed in some random place in model space. See attached video.

Does anyone know what setting might be causing this issue? It's driving me nuts.

Reduce the number of OSNAPs you have running, and only activate what you specifically need at the moment, see if your issue goes away.

Most of have learn and use these sticky-keys methods as a quick method not affecting our running osnaps as explained here from HELP

See attached. I hardly ever adjust these once I have them set. And my issue is only occurring in some drawings not all.

"some drawings" means we probably cannot recreate the issue with our own files: can you share?
If not, then start a support ticket with Autodesk as another venue for help while you wait.

May I ask why are your DWG files 2013dwg format? You never mentioned that before.

Your two areas are also clipped XREFs, also not mentioned before now.

Also curious why the outlines are blocks with their INSERTION points at 0,0,0

Here your issues in your video seem to go away when I saved your files to 2018dwg file format and let RECOVER fix issues found. Maybe I am missing something else?

@mbrownKA3L2 ,

Curious if it happens when you use a Default profile.

I didn't mention the xrefs or 2013 because the issue doesn't happen in most of my other files with xrefs and saving down to 2013 (work purposes). As for the blocks, I'm not sure. I took over a project someone else started... I'll try the recover and see if that helps on my end.
