SHX Text isn't filled in psout

The .shx text is displayed correctly in Autocad (see .jpg). When exporting as .eps the text is not filled (see .eps or .pdf).
Textfill = 1
Fill = 1
Fillmode = 1
What do I have to change in the settings?

They are not filled in either.  From the .JPG:

Am I missing something?  In any case, .SHX fonts don't have "fill" unless they're defined with something like closely-spaced lines filling them in.
