Shell Command Issue

I am new to 3d AutoCAD. I have been trying to creat a 3d model of a pipe by creating a cylinder and then executing the shell command on it to make it hollow. The command line says the face is removed but their is no visual representation of it. What am I doing incorrectly?

Shell makes it hollow like a tin can, you have to SLICE the end to see the result.

Try other methods:   PRESSPULL,SWEEP, EXTRUDE, REVOLVE..... THICKEN.... to make pipes.

Not exactly, you just have to "Remove" both ends... .but yeah, PRESSPULLing two concentric circles or EXTRUDEing a Region are the two methods I use most.

Well I think I have the answer.

When when use the shell command to say shell a cylinder and turn it in to a pipe you have to select the two ends.faces to remove them. But you dont see a visual representation of the faces selected you have to trust it.If it does not work you have clicked too near a line. The only way out of it is to zoom in as far as you can so that you are certain to be nowhere near a line as all you can see is space.Do it in wireframe so you can see where the lines are. Then it will work.
