Shadow-Rendering

Hello

I use autocad 2018 and I often render 3D images.  The problem is that the shadows are too dense, too black. Is there a way to set the density of shadows in this type of rendering?

The white text will not come out the right color also, how to adjust?

Thank you for your reply.

In AutoCAD you're limited to the render environment settings for lighting / shadow control, and that is just for the lighting effects you want. If you want greater control over your render scene you can try to render in the cloud. The render environment settings also control the white balance of your lighting. That is what is most likely affecting your text.

Try SKYSTATUS=2, this brings more light at the dark (the shadow) side 😉 . (PERSPECIVE must be 1).

White faces will never be really white in an (ACAD-)rendered image.

Try this workaround: Convert the Text to faces (explode text and then create regions or extrude a little or any similar way). Then attach a self illuminating material to the faces.
