Publishing two sided

I'm not sure if this is an AutoCAD issue, but if it is, any help would be much appreciated:

I am trying to print about 40 different pages, all doubled sided. I have changed the printer preferences in "devices and printers" for the particular printer to 2-sided already and it has worked in the past. I just tried it in front of my co-worker who was showing me what to do(changing the 2-sided preferences, which I had done already) and it worked with publishing just 2 pages. It came out as one sheet, just how I want them, but when I published the whole set for the second time, the 40 pages came out as 40 sheets, one sided.

Any setting or option I am missing?

Thanks!

Hi @Anonymous,

Please tell me which version of AutoCAD , OS, and printer driver you are using. I am happy to test this on my side.

Also, if you use one of the built-in PDF drivers and do a Publish, if you then print that hardcopy to the desired printer does it print duplex?

Please select the Accept as Solution button if my post solves your issue or answers your question.

Autodesk AutoCAD 2015; Windows 7; Xerox Global Print Driver PCL.

Is that what you are looking for?

Not sure about the PDF-driver, but my solution is just cutting the publish sheet list down to like 10 pages.  Why would it work that way? What is preventing the 40 pages from working?

Thanks

It works with 8 pages(4 double sided sheets) but not 12(6).

I think I may have figured it out! It was, of course, not an AutoCAD problem, but a Printer Preferences problem.

Thanks for looking into it!

Revised Solution: It was not a printer preferences issue, and the problem was far from solved! But we finally got it working after adding a couple support files that should have been added for plotting styles. Still not sure why that would prevent double sided printing, but the issue seems to be resolved and my complete project was printed double sided, so I'm happy.
