Maybe it is the variables SELECTIONEFFECT and PRESELECTIONEFFECT.  Type them at command line and make sure they are set to 1

Thanks for sharing, but I already check those commands and the issue was not solved. In fact when I try to trim as well just appears one dotted line, and before this worked as a rectangle form to trim.

Please see attached images.

@daniel_hernandezEGPKS For dotted line issue, set your GFXDX12 to zero, restart AutoCAD, then try again.

For TRIM command not giving you window selection: are you just fighting the TRIMEXTENDMODE variable setting by chance?

Are you using a 3rd party add-on?

Accidentally trigger FENCE selection method?

Not sure how one is related to the other, why the change of question?

Did you recently started experiencing this problem with an updated AutoCAD version?

Enter About command, do a screenshot and share that here.

It looks like your graphics driver is not compatible with AutoCAD.

Enter command GraphicsConfig, do a screenshot and share that here also.

Looks like you do have the latest updates of 2024LT installed.

But something is not right with your graphics.

Try at command prompt enter the following:

GFXDX12

0

(that is a zero) and then restart LT.

Now enter command GraphicsConfig and see if you have the option under 2d Display Settings to change to different modes like Advanced, Intermediate & Basic.
