Section View not Sectioning....

I'm running 2018 and the View Section tool isn't sectioning, but showing all geometry before and after the cut.

Any ideas?

Hi,

to use this CAD feature , there are some steps that you have to do when preparing to generate a section . please tell us what did you do ? and try to show us your final result . also if you can attache your CAD drawing as ( AutoCAD 2013 format type ) it will be great chance to help you more ? i'll give some hints :

• does it happened in any other drawings or just in a certain one ?
• try to update your AutoCAD from your account by AutoDesk Desktop App .
• try to use Audit and Purge ( Regapps ) commands your drawing before make the section .

I've been creating sections the same way since the inception of the command.

Are there some "new steps" one has to take to generate them now in 2018?

I will try and audit, purge, and copy the geometry to a new drawing to see if it matters or not...then report back
