Second Line of Text In Single Line Block Attribute

Anonymous
Not applicable

I have a block with a single line of attribute text which usually has 4-8 characters to describe the block. However, I have an exception with a long description and am wondering if there is some code (similar to '\p' or whatever else) that will make it go to a second line of attribute text.

I would prefer not to create a new block for the rare occasion I have an exception to the attribute length.

Hi,

have you tried a multiple line attributes instead? This can do line-breaks (>>>details<<<).

Can you clarify the difference in making a block with more than one line of
attributes and making a single line attribute text 'line-break' to a second
line?

Hi,

>> Can you clarify the difference [...]

If you have 2 attributes (default, single line) the user has to fill out two attributes and has to decide, which part to write in the first and which part in the second line (like 2 single text objects).

In the multi-line attribute it is like a MTEXT, you fill out one value and the width of the MTEXT box decides where the attribute value needs a line break.

Thank you Alfred.

In all of my years of creating block with attributes I have skimmed past
that. My bad!
