screenshot app discontinued

Hi,

It seems, that the handy and also free Screenshot app is discontinued https://www.cad-notes.com/screenshot-autocad-screen-capture-utility/

I have it installed in 2018 and wonder if it can be "copied" to 2019 installation folder or is installation needed, or does anyone still have the installer  and has tried it in 2019?

Thanks!

You can install and run 2018 add-ins in 2019 easily: in HELP in 2019 look up the topic:

About Installing and Uninstalling Plug-In Applications

Most of us have been using the Windows built-in capture too since Win7 if all you need are true screenshots https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

The former Screenshot app in Autocad was a superior tool, no need to open a separate program, could be run from acad command, selecting the area by acad window, background color set automatically white, those were the benefits why it's missed.

I can install plugins in Autodesk App Manager, no problem, the Screenshot app is just not available any more in Autodesk App Store website, I'm hoping someone has the installer saved and could share.

Wait, you wrote:
"...I have it installed in 2018 ..."
So why do you need the installer? It will just install back into 2018 and ignore your 2019 setup. That's how year-specific add-ins installers work from Exchange.

You can load the 2018 add-in in 2019 easily: need a more step by step walk through the process? What the document in HELP not detailed enough? Do you know how to you APPLOAD and CUILOAD commands? Let us know, it's not rocket science these days to load apps.

How to launch WIndows programs from inside AutoCAD (you can make your own button for it too) https://www.ellenfinkelstein.com/acadblog/use-command-line-to-launch-programs/

This tip is also free like my last one 🙂

The .dll can't be loaded with Appload, Cuiload won't load the plugin, please advise.

By the help file of the App I attached, it was updated for every Acad release and is not probably updated for 2019 and therefore discontinued.

Without compitability marking for newer release than 2016 I would not rather buy the Art ltd Screen Capture.

Ok, 'netload' it is the command to load dll in Autocad. But 2019 crashes when running 'Screenshot' after loading it. Probably the app is not compatible with 2019 or the files of the bundle have to be installed rather than loading just the dll's. Maybe someone has the installer package of the app saved?
