Save command defaulting from Model Tab to Layout Tab

Need some help here.  I installed AutoCAD 2024 the other day and whenever I'm working in the model space now and hit Save, it automatically changes to the layout tab and shows this prompt on the screen in the attachment.  Never had this issue in any previous AutoCAD versions, does anyone have a solution for it to stop doing this?

I think you meant to attach a different screenshot. It's currently a screenshot of the Publish status dialog.

Looks like you have a background PUBLISH action still working its way in the program: just like that title of that pop-up says. Did you forget to turn background publishing off? Almost all of us do as soon as we can.
