Referenced Dimension Style

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hello,

I have a Referenced Dimension Style somehow that I cannot get rid of. Now is this detrimental to my drawing, absolutely not, lol. This is just me wanting to know how to remove this dim style or what has it referenced. Is there a way to see how this is referenced or linked too? I have tried to purge and delete but it's referenced somehow, somewhere

  • Yes, this is a fresh drawing with no dimensions  at all included.

Thanks for the help!

Are there any blocks that have been inserted into your drawing? If there are not a lot of them you can open each as a separate dwg, purge, save, and re-insert.

I'm sure there are easier ways, maybe SuperPurge which I have no experience.

Nope, no blocks

I am hoping to find a way to isolate what it could possibly be

Are you sure there are no Dimensions anywhere?  Even nested in a Block?  Are you sure there are no Blocks?  It could be in a Block definition, even if that Block is not Inserted anywhere.  I imagine there must be one of those kinds of things, perhaps in a different space, likely coming from the Template file that the drawing is based on if it's a "fresh" drawing, or some such thing.

Try this:

(ssget "_X" (list (cons 3 "YourDimensionStyleName")))

If that returns nil, then there are no top-level Dimensions entities using that Style.  But there could still be one nested in a Block definition.

There are two LFMServerProxyVolume objects that I can't seem to delete.  They seem to be the issue.

HI

I  can see Xref  in dwg ,

I think those two dimstyle belongs to the xref ,check xref file .

this is your  xref file name and address "G:\Detailing\Templates\Files to Outside Detailer\Template-Title Blocks\GD DT-BLOK2015.dwg"

send xref file to forum if problem not solved.

Good Luck

Hi @Anonymous,

I started dissecting your file to find the dimstyles.

First I copied the modelspace objects and pasted into a new file - no strange dimstyles

Second, I copieed the contents of your first layout over - nothing

Third, I copied contents of second layout - BAM!!! - there were the dimstyles. So, I moved that layout info into its own drawing in modelspace and purged out the dimstyles.

I didn't go further but I think this might be the process to isolate where the dimstyles are living.

By the way, I ran Audit and it did find errors so that might be part of this puzzle too.

Hi @Anonymous,

When I used -PURGE>Regapps on your Xref file it was able to remove 50 apps.

At any rate, I dissected the rest of your template file and created a new one (attached). Please let me know if this resolves your problem.
