Questions about AutoCAD graphics compatibility issues

  • I have a question because I am running AutoCAD 2025 Education with Nvidia Rtx 2000ada on Windows 11 Pro and I am having a problem that appears to be a graphics driver conflict. When I close an AutoCAD drawing, the screen jerks, but when I stop the mouse, the strange phenomenon stops and when I move the mouse, the strange phenomenon occurs. Windows compatibility operation did not solve the problem, and it was okay when I forcibly lowered DirectX from version 12 to version 11, but I am asking because I wonder if there is another solution.

Hello,

Method 1: Make sure the latest graphics drivers are installed. Sometimes, newer drivers can fix compatibility issues.

Method 2: Check for updates of the current version of AutoCad.

Method 3: Edit AutoCad graphics settings;

* In AutoCAD, go to the options menu (type OPTIONS in the command line).

* Go to the “Display” tab and try adjusting settings like Hardware Acceleration or switching between different graphics performance modes.

Enjoy your work.

No other option if you already and truly tried all the other suggestions posted: it appears your PC/video card/driver/hardware are just not capable for DirectX12 in AutoCAD.

Is there a functional and performance reason you can't use DX11 at all? Other than the fact the DX12 is turned off.

I assume you’ve installed the 2025.1 update?

Also have you tried downloading the certified 537.7 driver from Autodesk?

Thank you for your suggestion. But, how can I download that driver?

Click on the link I provided in my previous post which will take you to Autodesk certified driver website.

Then you filter out just for Nvidia and then scroll down the list to where your graphics card Rtx 2000 ada is listed.

The driver download is on the far right column.

As the site states send an email to Autodesk to notify them that the certified driver for your graphics card running AutoCAD 2025 on Windows 11 fails
