Hello everyone,

I have a big issue that giving me a hard time to finish DWG. the publishing is taking a lot of time between 8 to 10 hours for a file that is 16MB size. I'm using Xref with Clip comments and the Xref file contains dynamic block.

please advise if there a way of speeding up this process. or if the Dynamic block I have is making the problem?

thank you in advance.

for one page? in foreground??

Also if you publish in foreground, instead of 'background'?

OPTIONS, Plot&Publish, disable background plot and publishing (if selected)

@Waseem.MikhaelPLELV You have background publishing on most likely. Turn it off.

 publish-in-foreground?

In that case: It is what it is..

Did you ever compared with another AutoCAD Install (outside of the company network) ?

If you like: Setup a sample what needs 5-10min. to publish the whole job,

share the Etransmit bundle incl. your publish job (.dsd file).

This way we can try to compare our systems.

Pls share also your dialog, Command: ABOUT

@pendean it is off and still same thing.

@cadffm do you think that the issue is Dynamic block because it is inside the Xref?

Hi,

Ok, your main file has 16MB ... and the referenced files?

Do you have transparency activated? If so, try it without (in case it's not needed).

Has nothing to do with it.

Could be your pagesetups?

Could be file locations?

Your connection to them? Like VPN or something.

Could be... .

@Alfred.NESWADBA @pendean I do understand that the problem could be from few different thing, but it wasn't like that before and it's not only my computer having this problem. as much as I see is when my colleague and I start using dynamic block into Xref. is it possible to send the CAD file of dynamic block we're using for all of you to review it?

thank you

Best would be to send us a package that shows these issues on your system so we can try to verify that on our test systems.

Why not, did you forget about using ETRANSMIT command to create a single ZIP file to capture your DWG files and all relevant additional content needed to share with others?

Or... today in the year 2022, use a cloud file sharing link from your OneDrive/DropBox/Google Drive so you can revoke access without leaving your files out there for the world to access after this query is completed?

@pendean you're absolutely right, but I don't have time to combine and create another folder. however these are just lines and rectangular with blocks. if these blocks someone can have benefits from it. then that will be great to share items for the world that will help them as well 🙂

could you please advise if these files takes time as well in your computer/system.

I would really appreciate if there's a solution for it

thank you in advance.

Hi,

as @pendean mentioned...command _ETRANSMIT would pack all files into one ZIP, easier for you to upload, easier for us to download.

May I ask which version of AutoCAD are you using .. just because the mainfile is in AutoCAD 2013 format?
