Glitching and Multiplying Graphics

Hello,

Lately, I find myself having to restart CAD when my cursor disappears and any clicking or panning results in the multiplying of the passive model objects like the view cube, window controls, and the 0,0 marker. If I can manage to select an object, the grips stay even upon exiting the command. I cannot seem to find the verbiage needed to get a solution. Any ideas? I have a high performing desktop, so I don't believe it is a memory or graphics issue. This is AutoCAD 2022. Updates are installed. Attaching my 3DConfig settings as well. Thanks!

Hi,

which version of AutoCAD do you have (command _ABOUT ... screenshot)? Could be missing updates.

Also the graphic card is not the newest one, what happens when you disable the hardware acceleration (in the dialog of command _GRAPHICSCONFIG)?

Have you installed the 2022.1.2 Update yet? ABOUT command will confirm what you have installed. If not, get it from your Autodesk Account Page here https://manage.autodesk.com/cep/#products-services/updates
Restart your PC afterwards.

If that did not help... Set GFXDX12 variable to 0 (that's a zero) then restart AutoCAD/LT2022: reverting to DirectX11 fixes similar problems for most users.

Also consider turning off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: if still no relief then start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and change the 2D Display Settings pulldown from "advanced mode" to one of the other choices.

If all else fails, then turn off Hardware Acceleration as a last resort, and start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....
