Problem using Revolve command on Z axis

Hello, i having a issued and need some help,

I'm trying to revolve this piece on the Z axis

and make it something just like this pic,

but for some reason its unable.

I've never have this problem before and now i do, can someone help me out please?

Hi,

click on below image and see if LOFT or Extrude commands can solve your issue .

Your profile is over the axis you are trying to revolve around. It can be collinear, or open but not past.

but i want it to lock like this

the piece is not flat .

click on below image and try REVOLVE command after drawing an elevation for your revolved object .

Correct, @imadHabash said. Either select what to revolve about, or if you want to use a specific axis, make sure you dont overlap the axis.
