I have a house plan with several layers on top of each other: foundation, main floor, upper floor framing, upper floor and roof framing. Now I want to print. Is it possible to setup a batch without manually turning each needed layer on and off? I looked at drawings from an architect and he appears to have different layers visible on each layout but when I try to turn off my main floor layers on my foundation layout, it effects every layout. (does that make sense???)

Hi @Anonymous,
I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!
If you are viewing the model with all its layers in paperspace viewports then you can control the layers by viewport.
For instance, double-click into the viewport for the foundation plan. On the Ribbon menu at the top, you have icons that will allow you to freeze layers as well as perform other changes to the display. When you use the LAYFRZ icon it is actually, by default, going to VPfreeze the layer you pick. This means it will only be frozen in the viewport you are in.
You can also do this action in the Layer Properties Manager using the VP Freeze column (only visible in paperspace).
If you would like to attach your file I can take a look and make some guesses on what each viewport layer setting should be so you can take a look at them. If you do this repeatedly you can also use Layer states to save the layer configurations for use in other files.
