Polyline deleting after exploding in AutoCAD 2018

Hello, friends!

I try to explode any polyline (or rectangle, polygon, donut, etc.), but it's not exploding to different parts, it's just erased.

Is this a bug, or I just miss something?

HI @MikhailovAndrey

I have not seen this before. Can you attach a sample drawing that shows this behavior? Is it that perhaps the rectangle is on a different layer?  Very strange - I would like to take a look for you.

I'm not able to reproduce this on my system and I confirmed I'm on 2018.0.2.  I've tried it in 2 different versions, my NFR (OOTB) as well as my commercial copy and everything works as expected.

Post a DWG file with this problem, figure out a way to point to one of these objects so we can all try them ourselves.

Hi,

what happens when you run command _REGEN after _EXPLODE?

Does it help if your disable hardware acceleration? (command _GRAPHICSCONFIG)

Are you running that test in a new drawing based on an original AutoCAD template?

Hi!

  1. _REGEN - all the same
  2. If I disable hardware acceleration, I take the same result
  3. Yes, I try to create new drawings on original acadiso.dwt & acad.dwt.

Hi,

your drawing does not contain a polyline ...

When I create a polyline in your drawing and _EXPLODE it, I get it converted to lines, as expected.

Hi @Anonymous,

Does your AutoCAD have any plugins or customization? If you create a brand new (administrator) user on your computer and then launch AutoCAD does the behavior continue?  Is it possible to attach a sample file with the pline that disappears once exploded?

More importantly, please update your AutoCAD today to the latest version. (.02). If you don't do this today your AutoCAD will fail to run tomorrow. For more information, please see this post.

I solve it. It's not a bug!

The problem occurs because of the installed SPDS Extension beta for AutoCAD 2018 (SPDS Extension from Autodesk is the app, that provides you to create and annotate your drawings in Russian standards).

Just uninstall it and all be OK!
