Plotting DWG to DWFX, with layers and textfields

I have a requirement to export DWG to DWFx from AutoCAD 2018 where both these things are true;

1. Layer information is included in DWFx

2. Text fields remain searchable in Design Review (e.g. are text, not vector artwork) in DWFx

I can meet requirement 1. by using Export > DWFx and selecting Options > General DWF options > Layer Information > Include

I can meet requirement 2. by converting all Text Styles in the document to Standard then using Plot > DWFx ePlot (XPS Compatible).pc3

However, I can find no way to make both these things true in a DWFx export and/or plot.

Any suggestions very gratefully received.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

I don't use DWFx very often so I don't recall ever having to go through this process. Can you attach a sample drawing with which to try this?

The ONLY options you have for DWFx output are what is available in the driver from Autodesk, see below, you can't add any more features

Hi @Anonymous,

If you can get the text searchable by converting to a Standard style first, do the layers not get retained?

If you can attach a sample file I am happy to take a look.  Did this process seem to change in AutoCAD 2018 from your prior version?
