Plotter Issue: Preview and Paper Resize

Hello All,

I'm having an issue with the plotter set up I use a software called Striker if that matters for this issue. My plotter defaults using a paper size of 24x36in and as long as my print window doesn't exceed this there are no issues, however any time I have to change my paper size either the paper size change doesn't take, or the mini preview will show the size change however once I go into the preview screen it appears either the print space is under sized or the scale of the printed area changes. I create Mylars so the things I print are 1:1 scale also most work is done in "mm" this issue persists in portrait and in landscape alignment please see images below:

Added note I can sometimes circumvent this issue by making one of the measurements equal 1000mm, but the name of the game is efficiency so wasting mylar paper is unacceptable.

Thank you in advance for the assistance.

What if you print to pdf with that custom paper size and then send the pdf to the printer?

@Cgasawaycaldwell Looks like you just have a orientation change needed, not much else, can you see it yet?

Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean, that won't work. Using print to PDF only allows certain paper sizes to be used and none of the Available sizes fit my 1to1 scale nor can they be edited. If I am wrong, please detail what you mean and I will give it a shot.

Unfortunately this isn't the solution, I've changed the orientation in both the custom set up and the main screen, I also tried mix matching them (selecting portrait in custom set up and landscape in main). Please see images below:

Sure, you can easily add custom paper sizes to any of the built-in AutoCAD PDF devices like DWG To PDF.pc3

Plot>DWG To PDF.pc3>Properties>Device and Document Settings>Custom Paper Sizes>Add

Use existing & select any mm paper size as template & click Next

Enter Width & Height values like 914.4 & click Next

Enter your custom margin values & click Next

By default new custom Paper size is: User 1 (914.40 x 914.40 MM) & click Next

Store this customization under file name DWG to PDF & click Next & Finish & OK to dismiss the Plotter Configuration Editor & Save changes to DWG to PDF.pc3 file & click OK

Now back in the Plot window under the Paper size drop down list you should see this new User 1 (914.40 x 914.40 MM) custom paper size from now on using DWG To PDF.pc3
