Plotstyles (STB): Change default plotstyle to "ByLayer"

Hello,

I'm a bit confused here and hope that someone can help me out. I'm using Civil3d 2025 but that's more of an Autocad-question:

I'm creating a new template with STB-plotstyles. The styletable is established and it works well.

I've created three layers and assigned plotstyles to them:

So far so good - but when I now set "MyLayer1" active and draw e.g. a polyline, the plotstyle is set to "Normal":

I thought that this would just be a setting in the options, but there the default is already set to "ByLayer":

Using an old template, the behaviour is as expected: When I draw an object on a layer, the plotstyle is set to "ByLayer":

So I'm guessing there's a setting somewhere that I'm not aware of. Any help would be very appreciated!

tl&dr:

When I draw an object on a layer, I want the default plotstyle to be "ByLayer" instead of "Normal".

Okay, I'm an idiot - in the plotstyle-tab (settings, when nothing is selected), the plotstyle was set to "Normal".

Once I've changed that to "ByLayer", everything works normally.
