Plot to Adobe PDF - Cannot set the rotation of the plotter

Hey everyone,

I've been working with Adobe PDF to convert my DWG files to PDF, but I've noticed that the output is always in portrait mode instead of landscape. This means I have to manually rotate the PDF to landscape orientation every time I export a file, which can be quite time-consuming, especially when dealing with a large number of DWG files.

I've tried adjusting the properties of the printer/plotter and saved it as a .pc3 file, but unfortunately, using that plotter .pc3 doesn't seem to make any difference.

Does anyone know how to change the settings of the Adobe PDF plotter to ensure that the output is in landscape mode by default? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

in windows PDF-Driver settings, for usual you will find an option for Landscale or Portrait.

Change it and test it.

Yes. Seems work for me. Need to go to the Printer > Adobe PDF > Manage > Printer preferences. Thank you!

Of course keep in mind that by just changing this setting everything you plot from AutoCAD using the Adobe PDF printer will always be oriented as Landscape. But for users who need the option to have Portrait as well will require adding a Paper Size with the proper dimensions relative to this revised orientation setting.
