Plot Coordinates on page

Hi,

I am somehow not able to plot coordinates of any points on screen which means I can't produce as-builts.

if I go to Field under Mtext and click on object then choose the point ( I think the problem is here as when I choose any points it doesn't light up) on property side is still empty?

has anyone had such experience ?

Thanks

Gokhan

That is certainly strange. For object type your jpeg shows 'Point' but in 'Property' section it's completely blank. First of all, your attached drawing "KB411-TW-024 rev01" didn't have any 'points' (when performing a select all there were no points shown in properties palette). Secondly, when I added points on my own, I was able to populate the property section in the field dialog box.

This is an image from the Field dialog box when I selected one of the points I added:

Field Dialog box.Field Dialog box.

On the left I chose OBJECT. In the middle I clicked the OBJECT TYPE button (red arrow). I then chose POSITION in the property section. On the right I checked x, y, and z. Finally, the PREVIEW in upper right populated with the correct values.

Since FIELD operation in this same drawing did, indeed, perform as expected, it could be something with your program on your end. Keep in mind that I added points on my own because your drawing, as it stands, did not have points to begin with.

Thanks for your help but  this is not the case of having points or not.  I have added 100's points on different drawings but still can't pick them from Field window.

with same drawing my college can work on different computer as you do but I still have the issue.

really irritating ...

OK, I understand. Try this: pick on a point, any point, and look at the properties palette. Does POINT appear at the top?

Property palette appearance when point is selected.Property palette appearance when point is selected.

If you have this same issue on your college's computer then it's not the computer, it's your drawing, because you're still having the issue. I suspect the answer is revealed in the property palette where it will indicate point as well as the position in the area under geometry.
